Warning! I was sold a bill of goods

I sent the following to the general manager, Mr. Travis Holt at Bell Honda and to date I have not received a call from him apologizing for what was done to me and at least offering to pick up my gas or something.

"Mr. Travis Holt, I was VERY disappointed with your dealership based on my experience of August 5th. I held Bell Honda in the highest regard based on my experience with Mr. Abe Saba. I bought my CRV 2006 from Mr. Abe Saba in 2005. I had dealt with so many salesmen by the time I dealt with Mr. Saba but he impressed me. I eliminated dealerships whose salesman I felt were your stereotype car salesman. They offer you the world but then change the story.

This is exactly what happened August 5th. Mr. Josh Abrahmson CALLED ME not vice-a-versa and sold me a bill of goods. He told me the dealership wanted so badly my CRV 2006 that I bought from Mr. Abe Saba that I could get a car comparable in luxury to my CRV and I would be able to keep my $272 payments with my two years left to pay off.

The morning of August 5th I called Mr. Josh Abrahmson cell phone and asked again is the deal real. I reminded him that I do not live close to the dealership so I don't want to waste my time coming out there. He assured me the deal was real. Then he called saying he couldn't meet me at the scheduled time that day due to medical reasons but he would explain the deal to Mr. Derrick Dillan (sp?) and he would help us.

My daughter, her boyfriend and I came in to the dealership at the scheduled time. We asked for Mr. Derrick Dillan per Mr. Abrahmson's instruction. Then we were greeted with so this is the car you want to trade-in. This should have been a red flag that something was wrong. A Mr. Peter took us to his cubicle. I asked for Mr. Dillan why he wasn't present since Mr. Josh Abrahmson told me he would be the person who would know what Mr. Abrahmson and I discussed. I was told he would be in and out. This should have been my 2nd red flag that something was wrong. I called Mr. Josh to let him know we were at the dealership and Mr. Peter instead of Mr. Dillan would be helping me. I asked if in fact Mr. Dillan was fully aware of why I was in there. He said yes

We test drove a Civic which I found to be a pretty basic car compared to the upgraded CRV I had. The CRV I had was luxurious to that Civic. We spent a lot of time discussing different models that could be comparable to the appearance of the CRV I had. I asked if there was a model with a better interior to look at.

My daughter and boyfriend went out to look at it as I was VERY tired sitting in my wheelchair. Then Mr. Dillan approached me and asked why I wanted to trade in my CRV. I told him that I was NOT interested in trading in my CRV. I came due to what I discussed with Mr. Josh who told me that he would explain to him my reason for coming. This should have been my 3rd red flag that something was wrong.

At this point (I still even now beat myself up about it) I don't understand why I kept staying. I guess I wanted to give the dealership I held in the highest regard the benefit of the doubt. Plus the mileage to and from was over 50 miles and I didn't want to admit I been had. Then Mr. Peter said he needed to run my credit score and know my income. Why? I ask myself now. I divulged my income in front of my daughter's boyfriend. Why I did this I don't know. I don't even understand it now. Maybe I was SO tired after being there 2 hrs. And 45 mins., I became so gullible.

When Mr. Dillan found out my pay off for my CRV from American Honda Financing and worked the numbers for the Civic Coupe EX black on black with options somewhat similar to what was in my CRV, the monthly payments would be more. Then my daughter's boyfriend said I knew it was too good to be true and reminded Mr. Dillan that it was Bell Honda who contacted us. Mr. Dillan worked on the numbers again and VERY quickly went over it and asked if payments were kept at the same amount for 48 months do we have a deal? I just said hmmm Next thing I knew I had a pen in front of me. I was upset and told Mr. Dillan that Mr. Josh had given me a DIFFERENT STORY.

I never felt so used and taken advantage. I left with a BAD taste in my mouth for Bell Honda. I spent 3 hours there, put over 25 miles to just get there and left VERY, VERY tired and nothing to show for it. I was WARNED by many persons that the deal was too good to be true. But I kept thinking how everything Mr. Saba said to me was the same when I came in. The story never changed. I wondered why Mr. Saba was NOT consulted to find out that I do not appreciate being deceived.

Very unhappy customer"
