Rudest treatment I have ever encountered

Note: I searched for an email address so that I could send this letter to the president of Jeff Wyler for 2 days in vain. So, instead I am posting it here.

Dear Sir,

I want to make you aware of my shopping experience with the Jeff Wyler Honda dealership in Florence, KY.

My wife and I did some preliminary car searching on 9/27 and test drove several vehicles, one of which was the CR-V at the Florence Jeff Wyler location. My intent was to surprise my wife to celebrate her birthday.

After driving several makes/models, my wife decided that she liked the CR-V the best. On Monday (9/29) I began trying to work with your Florence Honda location. My daughter and her husband have leased or purchased several cars from this location, and suggested I work with them. I also wanted to work with this dealership because it is convenient to me for service, etc.

First, I contacted the salesman that had show us the car on Saturday by phone, and told him what I wanted. I also advised him of a nationally advertised Lease special on Honda.com and told him to do some research and call me back. After 2 hours and no response from him, I called back and left him a voice mail.

Second, after another hour of no response, I called the salesperson my daughter normally works with and left a Voice mail message.By this point, I was allowing 1 hour for a reply.

After another hour of no response, I contacted Superior Honda, and was connected with a salesperson that began researching my request.

By now it was 4PM and I had gotten nowhere. It was my intent to purchase the car the next day.in desperation, I drove to the Florence Jeff Wyler dealership thinking I would just handle it face to face. After several minutes of wandering the lot looking at CR-Vs (and being ignored), I went in and found the sales manager. I told him that he had no sales people on the lot and asked him to show me a car.

He refused to work with me and handed me off to one of the sale associates who had ignored me minutes before. I explained what I was looking for an 09 CR-V EX-L Navi. He told me that those cars had not been manufactured yet, so they were not available.

WHILE he was telling me this, Superior Honda called me back to tell me they had located exactly what I wanted, and that they could have it here in time to surprise my wife the next day.

When I informed him what I had learned in the phone call, he told me he could prove that they weren't available. I asked about an 08 version, and he said he could get me one. When I asked how much, he told me to wait and went in to speak with the sales manager. When he returned, it was to show me a piece of paper with dates on it that he used to explain to me that the 09 CR-V could not be gotten in Cincinnati until late October.

He then asks me what I am being quoted for this '09 so that we won't waste each other's time (so, I'm wasting his time, apparently). When I told him what Superior had quoted, based on the Honda nationally advertised lease special, he shook my hand and turned his back on me and walked away.

Let me be clear here: I attempted to do business with your dealership ON THREE OCCASSIONS IN ONE DAY and was turned away on each and every attempt. I was called a liar to my face, and told I was wasting a salesman's time when previously he had been standing on the corner of the dealership chatting with fellow salesman.

The original sales associate, who never called me back, was standing on the sidewalk as I walked back to my car to leave. The other sales associate that my daughter used to work with called me back the following day, late afternoon. Note that I used the past tense about your sales associate. My daughter met the sales associate at Performance and liked her so much that they are changing their dealership.

Happily though, your competition came through, and delivered a glacier blue 09 EX-L Navi that they had found in Columbus and had driven in overnight, so my wife was very surprised the next day.

I can honestly say that I have never in my life been so rudely treated by any organization. Your dealership is nasty from top to bottom, and I can assure you that I will never darken the door of a Jeff Wyler dealership again, and will encourage everyone I know to do the same.

I also happen to notice how difficult it is to actually identify an email address where I can send this, so I can only suppose that your organization attempts to function in anonymity. I now know full well why.
