Unauthorized Towing, Inappropriate Storage. Lack of Security for Property

Parked in front of a friend's house at 4:25pm to use the restroom, came out and car was taken - unbeknownst to me - by 4:29pm. Called management, as they were out of the office, and directed me to call Dynamic Towing to get my vehicle back into my possession. Called Dynamic to find out why car had been taken, as it was in the parking spot I always park in without any complaints from management nor residents. They express that I was in the fire lane. There is no signage posted giving me a time-limit nor saying that the side that I was parked on was the fire lane. I explained this to them, while receiveing denial and attitude in return. The other side of the street had signs saying fire lane, but the side I was parked on said nothing about fire lane nor was there a red-painted curb nor red-painted line prohibiting my vehicle being there. I am also in the process of discussing matters with the housing's management about their so-called [and non-existent] "fire lane signage".

They towed my vehicle at 4:29pm, placed it into storage at 4:52pm. (Although it should have taken 2 minutes, not 13 minutes, as they are literally around the corner from where my vehicle was temporarily parked and towed from.) I called them asap and was told it would be $212 to get it, right then & there. I went to the bank, got the money out, called the registered owner of the vehicle (my step-father) to meet me there, called Dynamic Towing to tell them I was on my way with the money, and I was then told that they were already closed - it was just about 6pm. It was "after hours" & it would be a $87.50 after-hours extra-charge (although I was told $60, at first). So, unless I had $212 in my wallet and I was the registered owner of the car, there was no chance of getting my vehicle out within the hour of it being towed — my vehicle was not available to me when I needed it, even though I had the means of getting it out.

So, the next morning I wake up, and have the registered owner drive me to the Dynamic Towing location: a poor, unsanitary run-down miniature shopping centre with about 5 spaces available - they sat between a liquor store and taco shack. The office itself was obviously new or just untouched by character and warmth; quite amateurish. I was praying to God that my vehicle was not in this area — and it wasn't.instead it was "about 2 or 3 blocks away" (as quoted by the man working in there). I had to get into the registered owner's vehicle and follow behind the [above quoted] Dynamic Towing worker (who basically just left the job premises to no other co-worker). It was then that I found my vehicle to be stored in a scantily gated area in the corner of another miniature centre (but of a more industrial demeanor); it was behind occupied building spaces, and beside a "Pete's Transmissions". The small area (about 150 by 75 ft.) was secured by chain link fencing with poorly attached green sheets; one chain and lock; and a roll-away chain link gate. It was no higher than 6 1/2-7 feet tall with scantily applied barbed wire atop the fencing. The storage area consisted of no pavement, just gravel; and bushes and trees protruding from the fenced area on the other side of the property. There was no cover above the storage to protect the vehicle from direct sunlight, rain, or hail. My vehicle was reversed into these protruding trees and bushes which left stains and minor indiscrepancies on my rear window and trunk. There were about 5 other unclaimed vehicles stored there; they seemed to had been there for months, maybe even years. There was no care, safety, nor security taken into consideration of the towing and storage of my vehicle. Limited Liability means limited, NOT none.

I feel HOW, WHY, & WHERE Dynamic Towing towed my vehicle was NOT just, necessary, nor professional. They should be ashamed of themselves, as well as any companies, businesses, and/or individuals using Dynamic Towing's amateur, unethical, unprincipled services.
