A mobile mechanic with female accomplice (advertising on portland-gresham craigslist) is running rampant stealing up-front money, car parts, and ruining cars. Brings back parts from different car if he pretends to work at all. Usually just takes money and disappears.
Steals parts off cars he is supposed to be fixing. Pours water in transmission, transmission fluid in brakes. Breaks belts. Whatever can to ruin the car. Has ripped off several trusting older women in portland-gresham area, cannot be stopped. Our cars are all ruined, and we can find no recourse to get money back.
Police won't take a report. Say it is civil matter. Small claims court is unaffordable now that he has all our money, and we can't find him to serve papers to. Have witnesses and support and would win judgement, but would be impossible to collect. Homeowner's ins. Wil cover as theft: also say civil matter.
He gives different address to each victim.
Won't answer calls from his victims when he recognizes caller ID, or hangs up when he realizes it's me if I call from different phone. Same thing happening with other victims.
