6-8 sunday— memo from henry f. Watkins, sr to "kia" (copy to myself for record) they won't give out a headquarter's e - mail address or phone number.
This is what happened and is still on my credit report from "kia of florence ". I would never buy another " kia " and advise all my e - mail contacts to read this.
In i bought a new kio rio, polar ice blue. I decided when i got home, that the monthly payments were too high for me to afford on a fixed income. I took the car back to turn it in. One of the " salesmen" put his arm around my shoulder, asked if he could get me into a cheaper car would that work for me? I sais yes. He sold me a second car, did not use the first car as a trade - in nor did he tear up the first contract. I suffer from manic - depressive disorder, was and ad been out of medication for some time, and was apparently in the manic phase.
(i bought 6 cars that month). I trusted the salesman, and dealership (who had to be aware of the sale of both cars and not just trading in or tearing up the contract of one) and went happily home. About a month later i stopped by the dealership and asked about the salesman. They sais they had just fired him because of doing another custermer and pointed to him, because the salesman had tried to do the same thing to him that he tried with me. I did not understand, but did not not see the blue car. I asked if they had sold it quickly. Tey said no, that the salesman said that he could drive it. One of his friends at the dealership told me and my daughter where the salesman (jim stone) lived, and we drove there — there sat the blue car in the front yard of his trailer. I opened the door and it had the right vin number. I knocked on the door and asked him about it. After a lot of fast talk he told me to come back the next day and pick up the key. Stupidly i left. (i said i had a mental problem). I did not go back, i did not know what to do. But the next day the pressure got to me and i went back. On the way to his house me and my daughter spotted the car back at the dealership. We stopped and out of fear it would disappear again, took it home. Again the pressure got to me and me and i took it back to the dealership, told them that i could not take that kind of pressure, gave them them the key and started walking home 27 miles away (i am 61 years of age poor health (legs are very weak), if i fall i cannot get back up by myself, i have to have help for me to stand back up if i fall). O, yes i noticed that the salesman had put about 4,000- 5,000 miles on on top of the 60 miles i had put on it. My daughter got wind of what i had done and picked me up about 4 or 5 miles from the dealership & it was very hot and i was about to die, but did not care. I just had to get that car back. I still did not know that the car was in my name untill i got a bill for it. I discarded the bill, thinking that the paperwork work had just not caught up yet (meanwhile i was so aggrivated that i took the second kia rio to another car dealership and traded it in) but i got a second bill (from m& t bank) and called the kia dealership place and they said the car was still in my name. I explained all that had happened and they said they did not care, that i was still listed as being rsponsible for the blue car. (would this not be car theft with the dealership being a party to it and no insurance on it???) i went back to the kia dealership and they said they could (or rather would not (i later found out that they had pulled this trick before) do anthing about it. It is still on my credit report and has just stopped me from re - financing my house from a 6.8 % rate of interest to a 4.& % rate of interest. I am going to try to get a good lawyer to sue the salesman and if possible kia. (because they knew what was going on). I did the same thin a mitsibuthi and they understood my problem and took the second car (which was a 2008) (i had bought a (but the 2008 arrived and had a map finder on it) back — then is when i heard the kia advertizement and went there. Any how, i am not sure where i left off, but the kia dealership, even though i took the car back to them ("o" yes they had said that their salesman had told them that i had told them — the manager that i had told him the salesman, (jim stone) that i had told him that i could drive the car (he put 4,500 miles on it)
as he pleased. Now the head delership man knew better yhan that, but let him drive it anyhow. My lawyer and psychiatrist (i have been seeing one since 1996 now and taking medication for but sometimes run out because it costs so much (and i live on a fixed income) will be happy to go to court with me and testify. They also agree that the dealership had to know and jim stone could be charged with car thef and dealership with consent to the theft. But but first i want to find the salesman they had fired him when i had come back there stating that he had tried to do the same thing he had done to me to a customer that was sitting at a salesmans table right then and the sales man was a friend of jim stone and could probaly tell me where he he lived. That was how we found the car in the first place. Forgot coulld not not remember things very so i had a tape recorder in my shirt pocket and recorded evrything, including the direcections to jim stone's house and had to keep playing it over and over, even though my daughter was with me (i was driving). When we got to his trailer the recorder was still running and i had forgot it until now, it is still in the car pocket (now in my house) and i am going to give it to the lawyer — they know they wre bieing taped because i kept asking hoe to get there and finally pulled out the recorder and held it for them to speak into, then put in back into my shirt pocket and forgot to turn it off. Nayhow all i really want ("0" yes& they said that even though i had voluntarialy turned the car back into the dealership as a trade - in on the second car - they were going to call it a
" reposseion instead of a voluntary repossion " and they auctioned it off with a "deficet of
$ 13,000 (they may have sold it to one of themselves for $ 1.00). I donot think it was worth that much when i bought it becaucse they were if you could drag in any kind of car they would knock off $ 10,000. And later were advertizing " buy a kia rio and get a second one free. Amd other such goodies that had me trade in a 2007 mitchibutshi (worth much more that a kia rio i might say).in the first place but as i was saying, all i want is to get this $ 13, off my credit report and take my cane and beat the daylight lights out of that salesman jm stone. I heard that he had gone to a dealership in hartsville, but by the time i went there lokkinng for him with my cane & he was no longer with them and they did not know know whre he went & if you can straighten this mess out thank you.

My life has been a nightmare trying to reasonm with these finance people, the dealership and not sleeping well that is why i am just going to turn it over to a very good laywer and be done with it.!!! I will never recommend that or any other kia dealership to anyone if fact i have thought of renting a spot big enough at a fast food place next door to this dealership and with a megaphone telling anyone pulling in there what happened to me, also thought abought running ads in the newspaper, radio channel 10 internet and anything else that i can legally get away with. So help me!!!& i would still like to say that the car was a nice little car. But i am very upset with my credit record or report, the salesman and the dealership and thusly with "kia". Tried to get me to forget by making me re-sign -in, but i told you i sent a copy to myself & just in case. Sending this add - on also.
