Before returning the rental vehicle after one day, we called ahead, spoke with the owner who rudely confirmed the closing time of 5:00 P.M... The owner wasn't there when we arrived at 4:50 P.M. Two workers attempted to contact him, he pulled into the driveway 5 minutes later... Cursing at his young employee, insulting him then turning on my husband while I waited with our two children. He became aggressive and insulting screaming "When I tell you 5:00 P.M. I expect you to get here earlier not f*ing 5 minutes of!!!"
He continued this verbal attack until I stepped in and begged him to just finish the paperwork so we could get our kids home... Then he turned on me... Calling me a b*ch and to "get the f* out of my shop" expecting me to turn and run... He was in for a surprise when I didn't and yelled him down to a position where he finally gave in... Although he continued the insults until the paperwork and admittance of no damage was handed over.
We're positive that his behavior was an attempt to force us to leave with our kids without the final paperwork, leaving the rental unattended and subject to further false charges by him.
This situation very nearly became physical if not for the the self control of my husband. The owner is without a doubt a psychotic crook and should be put behind bars.
