I honestly dont know where to begin.
On August 7 I stopped in at my local car dealer which is Thomas Motors of Joliet, Inc. I was in route, hoping to find a better car that would fit my need of transportation. I had a vehicle that I was paying a note on already but wanted to get rid of it. I paid my car note on time every month actually more than what was due. The car wasn't in bad condition. It was a 1998 Chevrolet Cavelier with approximately 108k miles.
My salesman worked his butt off to get me into the car that suited me the best. I will say, I was really impressed with the figures he was working out with me for the car. I'm a young adult and I basically needed a reliable car that wouldn't give me too many problems to maintain. So my salesman allowed me to test drive a 2007 RED Pontiac Grand Prix with 48k Miles. I thought that it wasn't to bad being that the car was (used) 10k usd.
After sitting and waiting and waiting and sitting, I finally made it to the finance office. This is when I started asking questions. He answered some of my questions but showed no sign of concern. After signing like thirty million papers for the car, he told me I was good to go.
Come to find out, I was not even approved from a lender prior to me leaving. I was questioning him about this but he told me that I signed a paper stating that I wasn't approved. I simply asked the finance manager (John) who I was being financed through he told me Toyota Financial. I basically got the run around for a couple of days. I voice recorded the conversations that we were having over the phone to catch him up in a lie.
He told me to bring back the car and that his manager reversed the deal after paying a down payment of 300 usd on new car insurance, I simply ignored what he said to me. As he continued to try to persuae me that his boss said that, I cought him up again. He said hold on let me get my boss for you. Keep in mind that he told me prior to him going to get his boss that THE BOSS WAS GONE FOR THE DAY. He never came back to the phone.
Nobody ever spoke to me again after that conversation. I called and called, only thing that I'm getting right now is hold on.
He told me I had two options. Bring the car back or we will have it towed. I'm not bringing the car back until I talk to the main boss that said reverse the deal. Am I wrong? I don't think that I am.
