Several years ago, I had gone to Danny's Car Wash because I was moving, and needed my car washed and vacuumed after the move. I am a former 45 year resident of Phoenix, and usually avoided the car washes there as most of them are major employers of the illegals, and on an earlier occasion had had a bad experience at one when my daughter's flute was stolen out of the trunk of our car.
I used my debit/credit card to pay for the wash, and was a little distracted and in a hurry because my daughter was due home from school soon.in looking back, I remember the cashier asking for the card, although I had used it as a debit card.in my distraction, after getting my receipt I must have left the card with the cashier.
Next morning, the telephone rang and it was the bank. Apparently, someone had used the card and charged over $2,000 of merchandise at five of the local Walmarts and Walgreens and the bank thought it was unusual and asked if it was me. That's is when I discovered the missing card. Not only did they have the audacity to use the card, but apparently they also had my PIN number which they had obtained using the surveillance cameras they use to eliminate employee theft (apparently Danny doesn't trust the illegals either). They even checked my bank balance prior to using the card to see how much was in the account.
I call Phoenix PD and also INS to report the theft, and received absolutely no help since Danny is a major contributor to the Phoenix and Maricopa County Sheriff's Departments - that is why they never get busted, irrespective of what Sheriff Joe Arpaio tells the media. He busts the little guys, never the major players or employers since they support many Phoenix civic organization of which the police and fire personnel benefit.
INS also did not follow up, so I went to the manager and inquired if they ever did background checks. He indicated that most likely (definitely) it had been one of his employees, but said that "these people come and go so quickly, we don't have time to check their immigration status, and we are so busy we don't have time for anyone to monitor our security cameras and room."
That was the last time I went to Danny's, and also after 45 years packed my bags and left Phoenix after another attempted auto theft, and another negative experience with the lack of "justice" and other criminal white collar crime going on there at the present time. Danny's is building 12 more car washes on the backs of the illegals - and now has an upscale Scottsdale restaurant, while his monitors his own cash drawers the public is apparently on it's own. Even with the Employer's Sanctions Bill Arizona recently passed, what good will that do when most of those large employers are paying the local and state police "protection monies" through civic organizations such as the Arizona 100.
Danny's and their profit margins and many other Arizona businesses profiting off this situation at the cost to the public at large, it appears, is the reason our borders remain open and unsecured.
