We purchased a trailer from Dan Gamels RV located in Bakersfield, Ca in Sept. We were asked if we would like to purchased a MVP plan which included UNLIMITED washes (they just needed 24 hr notice) and a complete detail every year for 5 years. It was only costing us a few dollars a month and sounded like a great deal. It ended up costing $1500.00 which still isn't bad as it would cost at least $50.00 per wash if someone did it.
The first few months were great. We called and got our trailer in, no problem at all. THEN management kept changing and that "nice" lady that did our financing became the new manager. We would try to get our trailer washed and couldn't. They got rid of 95% of their crew BUT they would be up and running in 30 days! This went on for 2 months, then we heard they were shutting down the Bakersfield location. I called and spoke with Frank (he was from the corp office) and he told me they were closing and Dan Gamel was trying to figure out how to honor our MVP plan. Then they decided to open under new management.
As of Monday, Aug 4th I received a phone call from Karen (the current manager). She told me that they were closing the sales dept however the service dept would stay open. Ok great, were still on? Right... NO, they won't be doing ANY WASHES or ANY DETAILS. And by the way, those were "COURTESY" washes. BULL CRAP!!! We were told that was what we purchased along with the details. Not only were we told that, our friends bought a trailer a week later and they were told the same thing.
Now the only thing they can offer is a product called TriDent which is some kind of protective coating that goes on the inside and outside of the trailer. That is what Dan Gamel is offering in place of our MVP plan. OR we could drive to Fresno and get it detailed there. (THATS 2 HRS AWAY) Ok, we all now how much gas is, along with the whole day being spent having our trailer detailed not to mentioned when we drive home it will be covered in bugs anyway.
SO, I called everyone in the corp office and again that would only offer the TriDent package but "sympathized" with our situation.
Here I am FRUSTRATED, HAVE YET TO EVEN GET MY TRAILER DETAILED ONCE, AND THAT STEALING PIECE OF CRAP HAS OUR MONEY. I hope people realize what is going on and will to, get the word out.
