After attempting to get a vehicle inspection at one location, I was advised that I had a blown fuse and the inspection could not be done. I was referred to another inspection site/auto repair location. After arriving at that location, I informed the mechanic what the other inspection site told me and I would like the fuse replaced. The (mechanic?) attached an engine analyizer to my vehicle (that was an effort to impress me). He then proceeded to remove the cover for my fuses. With a simple tester, he determined I needed a 20 amp fuse. He left my vehicle to get a fuse, all the while stopping to have a conversation with a young lady and my engine running. Since he didn't seem to be in any hurry, I turn off my ignition. After retrieving a used fuse from another vehicle, he replaced my fuse.in the process, he misplaced my tool for removing the fuses that was originally located in my fuse compartment. The complete job should have taken no more than ten minutes, if that long. Now to top everything off, he charged me $30.00!! The cost of the fuse is $1.74 (you get two for $3.49 at Autozone). After raising Holy Hell for about five minutes, they knocked $10.00 off. What bothers me is, they have probably pulled this on several people and will probably do it again. I still don't know if it will pass inspection, but I knew I wasn't going to have it done there. Stay away!!
