When is a deal not a deal - when it is through auto trader ads from Walts Live Oak Ford.
Called the listing salesman -made deal - had confirmed bank loan to be overnighted in the morning - he confirmed deal with us - car was ours for my son - he had a 100 mile drive to get there - called dealer again in the morning before my son left on this drive - salesman confirmed it was our car and he could pick up that day - son left for the drive - I called salesman to let him now what time my son would be there - kept getting voice mail. Finally called his manager who told me he was in the middle of a deal selling the same car to someone else for more money... Said it was listed to low on autotrader so they would not have honored the deal they made me anyways.
When is a dishonest company like this going out of business? Who knows - hope soon - but my poor son drove 3 hours round trip plus a tank of gas to be disappointed - never had an experience with such dishonesty - such disdain for customers. Beware - be warned... Run away from Walts Live Oak Ford.
Alls well that ends well... River Bend Ford in Bainbridge Georgia made us the same deal - with no hassle - when I told them the story - son picked up car the next day - now that is a quality Ford dealer.
