Broadway Enterprises, Thrifty's Car Sales
Broadway Enterprises DBA Thrifty's Car Sales Gave me a lemon car then took it back with my down payment and trade in... Left with nothing!

I went to Broadway Enterprises DBA Thrifty's Car Sale 1411 W Broadway Rd Mesa AZ on 07/03/08 to see if they could work with me on financing a used car because I have bad credit. Upon further discussion Paul and Paul G (sales) worked out a deal in which I paid $1000 cash and traded in my 87 Chevy Nova that they valued at $300 for a 2005 Chevrolet Impala low mileage 53000. After having the car for a week I was called on 07/11/08 and to "... Come in to fill out paperwork because your loan was approved".

Later that day I went in and was told that I had give up the car keys because I was only approved for $7000. At that time they gave me a 2003 Chevrolet Impala with a whopping high mileage of 137000. During the test drive the car died on the freeway while in motion.

I talked to Mike (GM) whom I explained the situation and was told that ".. No matter what the problem is we can fix it".. With his assurances I went forward with the deal and scheduled an appointment to have the car fixed.

On 07/15/08 I took the car in as scheduled and that afternoon was told that the car was fixed. On 07/25/08 while driving on the freeway the car died twice again while in motion and almost caused a few accidents.
I was extremely shook up and called the dealership and was told to bring the car back in for repairs which I did.

On 07/27/08 I called Thriftys to inform that I no longer wanted to keep the car because it was a safety issue and wanted to know if we could make arrangements for me to get another safe operable car or to get my money back and was told by Paul G (sales) to come in the following day after 1pm to speak with manager. On 07/28/08 I called the lender to explain the situation and the unsafe vehicle due to past experience I have had with another dealership and was told by the lender to call them back after meeting with the manager.

In the afternoon I went to Thriftys and was met with Mike G (General Mgr) and Paul G (sales). Paul G (sales) asked if I called the lender and I said yes. Mike G (General Mgr) said you f*g put a kink into my loan and. Why would you come to me for help then screw me?
Paul G (sales) also commented It's not like we have a crystal ball to foretell when the car is going to die out. I explained that we should not have to foretell when the car will die out if the car was fixed and explained that's why I wanted to make arrangements for another safe car that wouldn't cause me to injure myself and others or possible lose my life.

Paul G (sales) responded with Why would we do that? Mike (General Mgr).. Remove yourself from my property finally. This will go down as a repo!

I was an emotional wreck and called my lender crying to them and they said that the deal was never purchased and that they couldn't do anything and that I have to talk to the dealership.

I have made attempts to rectify this problem and trusted Thriftys to help me, with the assurances of Mike (General Mgr) and vehicle warranty I thought everything was going to be okay.

Today 07/30/08 I still do not know where I stand. I am out of $1000, my 87 Chevy Nova, and the 2003 Chevrolet Impala, basically nothing and Thriftys get to keep everything with that I am concerned that they would allow me to continue having a car that is a safety issue then refuse to work it out with me then kick me off their property.
