Pargon Honda, Brian Benstock, Clive Johnson, Gary Brutus, Maribel-shop Mang. BEWARE Scam - Covering up 2005 Honda Pilot in mager car accident

This is a letter that I sent Brian Benstock and didnt get any responce of this horific ordeal with Paragon Honda on Northern Blvd Woodside Queens of the cover up.

Mr. Benstock,
I purchased a Certified pre-owned 2005 Honda Pilot from Pargone Honda on Northern Boulevard on July 7. The service that I received that day was good. But there were a hand full of thing's I wanted taken care of before I purchased the truck. I did receive a "car fax" which stated that the car was not in any accident or floods.

After taking the car for a test drive I noticed that the door behind the driver was not aliened when it was closing. I did inform the rep (Clive Johnson) that was assisting me and asked him to please make sure that it was corrected before we picked up the truck. I have 2 small children and safety is my number 1 concern.

When I picked up the truck on July 7th the door that was not aliened was not fixed. I was told to drop it off following Sunday July 13. I was also having lo-jack installed at the same time. The car was in my possession at this point for only 5 days.

Taking the truck to the dealer on Sunday July 13, I received paper work stating that the truck would be able to be picked up on Monday July 14. I spoke to a gentleman named Wilson on that Sunday, I explained to him what I saw as a problem and safety issue. He agreed that it needed to be fixed. After speaking to him, a women named Maribel came over and asked what was the problem, Wilson told her.

She in turn came over to me with an attitude telling me that there was nothing wrong with the door, and that thing's happen and to remind me that it was a 5 year old truck. To her correction the truck is only 3 year's old and that it must of been in a accident or hit by something. She asked if I received a "car fax", I said yes, and it stated that there was no accident on record. But I think we all know that things can be taken care of with out going thru the insurance company. I felt like she was accusing me of the damage to the truck. I found her VERY rude! She was not helpful at all and I feel she should not deal with the customers' because of her attitude. She spoke to me like I was a child getting in trouble I am the customer and If I have a concern about the truck I just purchased 5 days prior she and all the staff at Paragon should be more helpful.

I received a loner car on Monday July 14 for the few days (this was the day I was to pick up my truck with all the work completed) The truck had no work done on it at this point. I was then told to pick up the truck on Wednesday July 16. To my surprise nothing was done to the truck that day either, the lo-jack was not installed, and the door was not fixed. I asked why and received no answer. I was told that it would be fix and ready for the following day Thursday July 17.

At this point I am upset and I don't believe anything the mechanic says to me. I went back to the dealer and spoke to Clive Johnson who had helped me in the beginning and told him about my concern. He told me he would take care of it right away. I believed him.

When I returned the following day (Friday July 18) Lo-Jack was installed and the door was bond-doed. So if at any point I decide to trade in or sell this truck I feel that the new owners should have the right to know the FULL history of the vehicle. I spoke with a gentleman named Chris at the "used car garage" he said that the truck must have been in a accident because of how the door was closing. Maribel finally admitted that Paragon had only replaced the driver's door before we purchased it. I feel that Clive Johnson was also aware of this safety issue.

How can you pull a "car fax" to say that nothing was wrong, but in the end Pargon was the one to cover up that the truck was indeed in a accident? We were asked on a number of occasions if we did receive a "car fax" what good is a car fax if the company that is running the paper work is hiding the truth about the vehicle?

At this point I don't want anything to do with the truck, your staff or your company! I am very angry and disappointed with the way that this all turned out. I was recommended to Paragon Honda by a few people who felt that your company prides itself on courtesy, respect and trust, and this was the type of company I was willing to deal with. I would NEVER recommend Paragon Honda to any of my friends or family.

Thank you,
Jill B,
Anthony C

If I would of did a little more research on Paragon Honda I would of gone somewhere else to purchase my truck. I just want to warn people out there and dont go to Paragon Honda on Northern Blvd for any car or truck on there lot, they are scammers and crooks. They try to cover up mager accidents and try to sell them on there lot and they also give you carfax that shows that there is nothing wronge with it.
I am also sorry for everyone out there that got scam by them.
