CPS Use harassment and scare tactic towards little children, coworkers and family members

Consumer Portfolio Services has harassed me, my out-of-state family members, my coworkers and worst of all my children. I am a single mother who fell behind one payment, 30 days late, due to financial hardship. As if that wasn't bad enough I now had a new problem in the form of an employee of CPS name Crystal.

This woman telephoned my job repeatedly even after I asked on numerous occasions that CPS only telephone me at home. When my office relocated to a different location and I was given a new office number, CPS somehow found me and the phone calls during my work hours continued. My only guess is that CPS solicited my work number from our main office directory. CPS Crystal also telephoned my sister's home and harassed her family by telling my sister, her husband and all three of her children that CPS was in the process of reprocessing my vehicle. This was also done in an unprofessional, argumentative and abrasive manner, even when speaking to the children.

The worst offense committed by CPS Crystal was the harassment that my children have been enduring while I am at work. I have received numerous telephone calls from my 9,13 and 18 year old daughters and son who were terrified because in their words the lady from CPS said that they are going to send some men here to take your car Mommy.

On Monday, July 21, I heard the phone ring as I was walking in my home from work. My youngest daughter who was on another level of the house had answered the phone and did not know that I was now home. I picked up the downstairs receiver in time to hear this woman yelling at my baby where is Evelyn? I told my daughter that I was now home, and I asked her to hang up. I then asked this woman to identify herself she replied in a loud and abrasive tone this is Crys I again asked, ok Crys and what is this in concern to? Again, she replied in an abrasive tone Crys from CPS this was followed by what can only be classified as the most inappropriate, unprofessional, rude, cruel and down right utterly disgraceful rash of personal insults. At no time did Crys attend to any business matters concerning my vehicle, it was never mentioned at all. Also note that, I have made several payments through their website which I believe have not been accounted for.

What CPS is has been allowed to put consumers such as myself through is against the law. At no time is it alright for any company to harass consumers regardless of whatever financial difficulties that consumer is undergoing. Prior to my financial hardship I had always paid my CPS bills on time and falling behind on payments does not give them the right to harass, intimidate and scare my children. Nor does it give them the right to embarrass me at work and it definitely does not give them the right to continuously harass my family members and their children.

I believe that there are enough complaints posted on this website to justify a class action suit or at the very least filing of some form of legal consumer complaint. If anyone is aware of how we can make this happen please contact me ASAP.in the meantime I am going to purchase another vehicle just so that I can get from under the grip of CPS and their bully tactics.
