I purchased a used 2004 Ford Mustang from the Chapman Group in June. I owned the car for about ten days before I had serious issues with it. The transmission, powertrain module and computer went out. The car was under Ford factory warranty so it was all replaced. Again, the same things went out about a month later, and I had already had to replace the tires on the car.
After waiting several days for the car to be fixed, I was informed by Ford that the car had been wrecked or abused and they were voiding the warranty. At this time they also informed me (with 20,000 miles on the car) that the tranny was no good, and I could have it all repaired for aroung 6k.
I called Chapman, and they said they would be glad to help. I went down to see them, and found out that all they wanted to do was sell me another car. They told me they did not know about the car being wrecked, therefore, did not have to disclose it or take the car back.
I lost about 15,000 on the deal, was sued by the bank after they repo'd the car.
Long story short, they did not care about my situation, and their attitude was "you signed the deal" so it's your problem now.
