On January 12, Just Brakes quoted me a price of 99.95 to repair my brakes, they were grinding. About 30 minutes after working on my car, the technician told us the following: RF cracked, rotor bad, pads/shoes/discs needed replacing, and shim kit missing, all with a quoted price of around 180.00—we said alright, fix the car (FYI - mileage around 77k)
This summer, some stupid @$ pulled out in front of me-I slammed my brakes to avoid hitting him, but I still tagged him (needless to say, he was cited with failure to yield, and was arrested for presenting fraudulent insurance cards). My brakes started to squeal after that.
On November 18, my brakes started grinding heavily, and my car was taken back to Just Brakes (I know, don't ask why) the very next day by my father. He was told that the RF was cracked, rotors were damaged - metal on metal - needed replacing, shim kit was falling off, and calipers needed replacing. The technician then told my father that we were made aware of these thing, and that we declined everything but the brake service-What a bunch of BS!
My father refused, said that was a ripoff, and told them to replace the pads only, and he stood IN THE SERVICE AREA the entier time, watching the tech fix my brakes. It is now 2 days later, and my brakes are one again-squealing! Surprise, Surprise!!!
Today, November 20, I called Just Brakes. "Sam" answered, and asked who was calling-so I told him my name, and that my dad brought my car in 2 days earlier ; he then said "Oh yeah, the red car"- that thing actually knew who I was! Anyway, I told him and that my brakes were squealing. He said, and I quote, "Here at Just Brakes we warranty everything we do, we'll be glad to take at look at your car, just bring it in."
I then told him that in January, we were told that the shim kit was missing, and we had them replace it; also, the calipers were bad, and we were not told this in January, but somehow my father was told that we were told about them, and that we declined any repairs but brakes only! Explain the 186.00 then! He said-yes, again-"Here at Just Brakes we warranty everything we do, just bring it in..." BLAH BLAH BLAH!!! Like he was reading a damn sign!!!
We informed him we had all above repairs done in January; yet somehow, their records reflected we declined any such repairs (RF cracked, shim kit, calipers-which were not told about, etc), and we had the receipt showing everything done! He said "I'm sorry to hear your having difficulties with our service; we at Just Brakes warranty everything we do. When would you like to bring your car in?" OMG, total denial happening here! I cannot believe those people can actually sleep at night! That guy would admit absolutely no fault over the phone! I mean, Hello!!!
My husband and I have given Just Brakes, in the last 2 years, close to 1500.00, if not more so (how stupid were we!) We thought we were in the wrong for waiting so long to have our brakes replaced, therefore having to pay extra; but we have since learned that Just Brakes does not care about Extraordinary customer service, and honest business! Just Brakes is a scam, a rip off, a fraudulent company who has no shame, no conscience, no remorse for the millions of Texans they will, if not already, will rip off!
All I have to say is Just Brakes: What comes around, goes around! And I definitely dont wanna be around when you get yours, because it's gonna be ugly!
