At first I believed I had a pleasant experience with David Bruce Auto Center. I don't have the best credit so I was originally glad to find out they were able to help. I got everything lined up to get a replacement vehicle and went on my way.
I had my vehicle for a few days when I received a call from the salesman at David Bruce, telling me I had to resign paperwork; they had forgotten to offer me a warranty. When I went in, I signed the paperwork needing to be signed, my co-signer went in again as soon as she was able and I later found out that gap insurance was added.
After about a month, I had yet to receive a statement for my first payment. I called the dealership and they informed me that the financing department had taken too long to get the paperwork to Toyota Financial. A new contract was being drawn up to change my payment date, but because my and my co-signers signature was on file, we did not need to come in to sign anything else.
When my car was REPOSSESSED because there were still no statements being sent to me, I found out from Toyota Financial that I was listed as the co-signer and my [should have been] co-signer was listed as the primary buyer. That person hadn't received statements either, so now we both have a major hit to our credit because of this mess. Getting to work has been a nightmare and trying to get a new car has been an even bigger nightmare!
