I started working for prime in 2005 and made good money for a while until i had 2 major breakdowns within 2 weeks. I took the truck back and told them if they didn't give me a new truck I was quitting. They let me get a new truck but charged me about $2000 for bogus repairs on the truck it didn't need. I soon got back on my feet and started making decent money again until they decided to put me under. Whether anyone makes money with Prime or not is decided by thier fleet managers. All the people bragging about Prime are the ass suckers. One of their favorite scams is to send you accross country for about 80 cents a mile and they get you into the mountains of California and the only way to get out is take a load for 60 cents a mile or deadhead you 3 or 4 hundred miles to pick up a load for 80 cents a mile. Or they leave you setting for a whole day then give you a load that pays less than 80 cents a mile. They tell you this all we have either take it or sit longer. The last load I hauled for Prime was to Ct. For 69 cent a mile then they deadheaded me through New York City to Burlington NJ. When I pulled into the driveway to make my pickup they sent me a message saying it took me to long to get there and the load was already picked up by another driver. They then sent me a load from Philly to take to Florida for 72 cents a mile to pick up the next morning. Any flatbedder knows that if you deliver in Florida you're going to get deadheaded 500 miles to Georgia. I refused that load and set for 2 days then I finaly sent "the little greasy headed nerd" a message telling him i want a load from Ohio to Missouri so I could bring the truck back. I drove home to Ohio and after sending messages every day and calling and not getting through. They stole the truck then canceled the lease. With all the Bogus repairs and unnessesary charges I got a bill for $7700. My dak report say I had numerus complaints off aggression and violent tendencies. It also says I quit under a load and abbandoned the truck. I've also heard that they claimed I had 3 accidents in the 3 years i worked for them. Well excuse me but the only thing on my license is a speading ticket. I'm not only barred from driving a truck because of them but I can't even get a job in a factory. Right now I'm working out of a tempoary service for $8.50 an hour and I was lucky I got that. Thank you so much Prime.
