My nightmare began last wednesday when i went to pick up my piece of junk. At 7:00am i picked up my truck and relized that the transmition on the truck was slipping making it difficult to drive. I told the guy who gave me the truck what was wrong he then told me there was no other trucks availible. Having no other choice i took the truck and proceded to move. I spent all day loading the truck so i could bring my stuff to be stored in the Uhaul storge where i rented the truck.
At 3:00pm I took the truck back to Uhaul and relized i had to put gas in the truck. I then asked the manager where i could buy deisel gas. He told me thats not his problem and i should drive around and look for one and i better hurry up because i would be charged for another days rental if i was not back in time. I got gas and returned at 3:20pm at that time i was told i would be charged anyway because the truck was still loaded.
I explained to the manager the reason the truck was not unloaded is because I would be storing my stuff there. He then told me that i should have gotten there quicker.
This is where the nightmare begins. Since the rude and unprofessional manager was going to charge me anyway i told him he just lost my storage business. He said so its not my company! I then took the truck to my house parked the truck locked it and went in my house to make phone calls. When i came outside to move the truck put the keys in the door and the lock did not open. They only gave my the keys to start the truck. I called the manager told him what happened he said I gave you the keys and i must have lost them. At that point he said it was to late to help me and i should call the next day.
At 6:00am i woke up and jimmied the lock open when i went to start the truck guess what... It did not start. I waited untill 7:00am and called the manager again told him i got in the truck and it won't start he said since i did not come back to them to make up another contract they were reporting the truck stolen and i should make it a point to get there by any means nessesary.
At that point i called the uhaul emergency # they sent a tow truck and me and the tow truck driver relized the truck was parked at an incline causeing no gas to flow to the engine. We towed it to flat ground and the truck started.
Now i have a fully loaded truck and still have to bring it to storage the time is now 12:00pm. Istore my stuff and return the truck. I ask for my bill and recive a bill for $180 when i questioned the bill i was told that either i sign the credit card statment or i leave and they bill me anyway. I continued to question the price and was then told if i dont like it cry to someone else.
Fealing myself getting violent i decide to leave and coplain to a higher sorce. I call the district office and was told this has nothing to do with them and the person on the other line hung up on me. Now i am mad. Three hours later and 4 hang ups later no results. Its now a week later and i have been promised results and i cant even get someone to return my calls.
I need some help so if there is anyone who could help my i would appretiate it. There is more to the story but i have to go.
