Twenty-three percent financing rip-off

I purchased a Dodge Stratus at Des Moines Chrysler and they sold the financing to Triad at 23% interest!

I lost my job after paying on the car for 3 years. They sent a very large, and very intimidating African-American man to persuade me to make my payments.

They reposessed the car, sold it for $2300 and sent me a bill for $7214.69 to cover the difference of what I owed. Mind you, I only paid $13,000 for the car new AND paid on it for 3 full years.

They have now sent this to the Fitzgerald Law Firm, PC to handle the debt collection. Two or three different times they sent me a letter offering to settle for $1400 if I paid it in 10 days.

I checked my credit report and two years ago found that they wrote it off as "settled for less than full payment".

I am really supposed to pay over $7200 for a car I don't even have?
