Rainier Auto, (Will Whitecotton) aka Alpha Engines (Tom Roberts)
Ranier Auto Will Whitecotton aka Alpha Engines Tom Roberts Took money for goods & services did not deliver or perform consumer fraud ripoff rip-off scam Ranier & Portland

The engine in my montero was smoking, knocking 7 eating oil. I started looking for a low milage remanufactored engine. Tom Roberts, owner of Alpha Engines in Portland, OR. Said he could get an engine for me. He wanted to know who was going to install it.

He said he knew someone who would do a good job at a fair price. That was Rainier Auto. I called Rainier Auto and talked to owner Will Whitecotton. He said he would install the engine for 1225.00 dollars. He said he would send someone for it, said he pays for towing when it comes to his shop. A week later Tom had found an engine. It would cost 1250.00 dollars.

Tom said I could buy added warranty for 99.00 dollars. I took a cashiers check to Rainier Auto for 1349.00 dollars. The engine never arrived. Tom said it was a shipping problem. Over the next two months three or four more engines were "on the way " but never showed. One of them was "in excellant shape, real low mile" Tom said. 601.00 dollars more tho. I took another cashiers check to Rainier Auto.

In late Sept. Will called, an engine was there, install would be done in a week. Three weeks later my mom called to check on it. Will said there was a problem. He didn't know what, had sent the montero to Alpha engines in Portland to let tom figure it out. I didn't like that at all. I called Tom the next day.

He asked alot of questions about what my engine was doing before I brought to Will's shop. I asked why? He said he might use parts off my original engine if they were good. A week and a 1/2 later Will called my mom (I was at work) and said montero was back, my cost was 2004.00 dollars. I called Tom at Alpha to find out what the problem had been.

He said the reman. Engine had been defective, he had rebuilt my original. I lost my mind. Ive been refused an itemized statement on the rebuild, any kind of warranty, paperwork on "defective" engine. Will slipped up during one of our arguments and pretty much said there never was an engine. He still has my rig. I will not give him 2004.00 for an install that didn't happen, so he won't let me have it.
