The car was rented via phone at an 800#. The only drop off location nearest to my destination was alleged to be Orlando Airport.
Since I was picking up a motor home in Titusville I did not want to drive it into the Orlando Airport. While I was signing the papers to purchase the motor home, the mgr of the RV Sales office asked where I had to return the car. He said there were other Alamo offices nearer and less busy and he would make some phone calls.
Mr. Johnson was told that the car could be dropped off at Daytona Beach, but nothing was said about my having to contact them to change the location. When I returned the car at Daytona, the charges were increased from $256.30 to $448.18. I picked the car up in Mobile on 3/13/08 at 7:00 AM and returned it 3/14/08 at 11:54 AM.
I called the customer service Phone# and talked to a rep named Tangela, who was most rude and would not admit that these charged were excessive but said she would change them to $359. The rep. At the counter in Daytona waited for the change but none was made and I agreed to apy the $448.18.
I believe I am due a refund from the company.
