I filed bankruptcy in September. About November 1 I recieved one of many letters offering me financing on a new automobile. I thought I would call and check it out since my one year new Honda Accord payments were very high.
I called and spoke to a laurie who approved me over the phone with two lenders. She said all I needed to do was come in and pick out a vehicle and with the financing she proposed I would be saving $200/month.
On the following Sunday I came in to the dealership and met with a Lisa Garcia. I brought all the documentation required and purchased a 2006 Honda Accord. The payments were going to be around $400/mo, versus the $619 I was already paying.
Lisa also instructed me to contact Honda Financial so I could turn the car back in as part of the bankruptcy. She said they had customers do this all the time, so I let her store the vehicle until Honda could pick it up.
This was the beginning of the most unproffessional, awful and ugly experiences in buying a car that I had ever seen or heard of. Nobody should have to go through what I went through.
November 4 I contracted to purchase the vehicle. To this day (February 2) they still were unable to secure financing for me, plus were yelling and screaming at me everyday to find co-signer or bring the car back. I ever got a call from Laurie on New Years Day, yelling at me that I had to hand up the phone on her. Bear in mind I had already returned my Honda to Honda Financial per their suggestion.By now my bankruptcy has been discharged for a month.
I was able to secure financing through 3 other dealerships (fully approved, not pre-approved) and purchase another car.
If anybody gets a letter from Moss Bros. Dodge, while they are in bankruptcy, do not call to respond to them. They are liars and cheaters and
and made my life very uncomfortable for several months.
