AutoMax John Priest
Scam

In August I had moved to Arizona. I had hardly any money and I needed a job.in the newspaper, I saw basically what other people have seen that reported this company. "No experience necessary, Paid Training, 100K potential, etc. Etc." So, I interviewed with this trainer, John Priest, and he asked me and someone else some odd questions, that really didn't seem to have anything to do with the position, but anyway we were congratulated to attend the training.

I went to the class held off-site at some hotel, and he went on and on how you can make money as a automotive sales consultant. He tried to make us even feel bad for him for being addicted to diet pepsi. What a joke! Then he said to be certified to sell cars we would have to pay the 499.00. We would also get 2 free airfare tickets. Like a moron I paid this slimeball.

Then I had to interview like everyone else, and like the other posts, you would probably have more luck just going to the dealership. I was one of the lucky ones to get the job, but I don't think it was because of the automax.

In fact one I was hired, there was two weeks of FREE extensive training that covered everything John Priest said and more. There were people who didn't get that job and were out the money, so me and some friends at the dealersip monitored the paper for his next calss. We did find it and went to the hotel and went right into the class to let people know he would rip them off. He came out and said" I can't believe you guys are doing this to me." We asked for our money, and he said you paid for my #1 training." B.S. His training is no more than somebody asking you to give them $500 for a I'm screwing you smile.

Needless to say he never gave anyone money back, but the dealership never used his services again. I am in the auto sales industry and the best training is free and something you learn by actually going through the sales process. Never pay for anything that is free.

Most dealerships are willing to train you, if you have the right attitude and are willing to succeed. If you see AUTOMAX in the paper, go down to the training and let people know they are paying to listen to a person tell you what you can find out on your own, or go to the dealership yourself and ask to speak to the GM or GSM and tell them you are aware of who AUTOMAX is.
