Auto Parts Warehouse, A True NIGHTMARE. Buyers Beware

I wanted to install new coil springs on my 1991 Toyota Tercel, but I was not about to spend and arm and a leg doing so. I decided to do an internet search even though I was referred to one company in particular I went with a company named Auto Parts Warehouse.

According to their website, I saw that they had a set of coil springs for my car. I went ahead and placed the order. Within minutes the money was taken out of my checking account.in about 3 days I received an email, not a phone call but an email saying the part is not available for my car and that they had refunded my money. I decided to call and ask if they had another brand that was compatible. The rep placed me on hold. After about 5 minutes of holding he told me they had another brand. I asked him will it fit and he said yes so I asked him to send it to me. Again, the money was taken out instantaneously.

After about 1 week I received my package but never opened it because I decided to drive to my mechanic and leave the car and box of coil spring with him. When I open the box I was a bit confused why the springs looked so huge for such a small carI studied it some more only to realize they were the wrong size. I wanted to know how they could make such an error. I spoke with my mechanic and he told me to send it back.

The Nightmare begins:

I called Auto Parts Warehouse customer service and was told I will receive an RMA in a few days via email. I received my RMA along with a long lists of shipping do not's. I took the springs in its original box to my local USPS and was told by clerk that I should use a merchandise return receipt so I did.
My package was shipped and received at their warehouse however, for some reason the merchandise was not showing returned and signed for in the USPS system so that compounded the nightmare. I had to return to the post office where I originally shipped it from to get the manager involved. She told me indeed it was signed for and by whom she even gave me a print out.

I then contacted Auto Parts Warehouse and informed them I have proofed that the springs has been returned but they did not want to go by what I had received from the Post Office manager they only wanted the tracking number which I kept explaining to these numb skulls that the number is not showing via the net but I can fax over the proof of receipts with the signature. This they did not want to hear because the rep kept sticking to their lousy company policy.

I began to realize this is going to be an uphill battle and obviously, this company can careless about satisfying their customers. I was getting more and more frustrated that Auto Parts Warehouse didn't have an adequate internal tracking system and resorted to the same methods customers use to track packages.

I pleaded with the rep for a fax number and he told me he is not allowed to give that information out. He kept telling me to go back to the post office and check that the package was shipped. Again, I told him I currently have proof and all he needed to do was give me a fax number where he is located but again he told me they had no system set up for that. I started to feel like they were calling me a lair but all I wanted back was my hard earned $201.

I went back to my post office and spoke with the manager, she told me they have done everything and there's nothing else they can do. I knew I had to step up the heat on this company. After calling and calling and getting different reps that didn't care and being placed on hold for over 30 minutes at times I finally spoke to one rep that listened and worked with me but I had to email all my proofs to him. My refund finally came thru but I vowed never to ever do business with a fraud company like Auto Parts Warehouse.
