I purchased a 2001 PT Cruiser from Neil's January 07, I went there because I previously purchased another car from them and never had a problem until the 3rd year after purchasing it. I figured why not go back? Boy did I make a mistake. The overprice this vehicle, I could have went any where else and go the the same car in better condition for under $5000.00 but they sold it for $13,000.00
I still proceeded on with the contract. They gave me a carfax and I figured wow this car is in great condition! Well not really because they gave me a Carfax for the wrong car, I didn't find that out until I gave them the car back! This car had been in an accident, there's no way I would have purchased it had I known this.
The 1st 2 weeks the car died out on me, we took it back to get the items fixed, that was no problem, ok 2 more weeks later the censor went out and I was stranded on my way to work, stranded again; we had to take it to the Chrysler dealer to get it fixed because my warranty was up. Ok paid over $100.00 not even 2 weeks later.
Ok this was the icing on the cake - 1 month later - the transmission went out! I was so upset, then they acted like they were doing me a favor and fixed it but put it on a side note where I had to pay 1/2 of the services. After having the car 2 months after the transmission problem, I began to have more problems with this Lemon of a car. It started running hot and smoking. I told them to come get it, there's no way I'm going to keep feeding money into this car not even 6 months later!
Please if you can help it do not go to Neil's. Everytime the commercial comes on, I want to throw a shoe at the television. This was the biggest mistake ever, now my credit is ruined and I didn't even have the car for more than 6 months!
