I took my Z28 in to Ray Dennison on Friday in 1999 to get the transmission worked on. I filled out paperwork, handed them my keys, and got a ride back home. Next Tuesday I went in to pick up the car, and my stereo had been stolen. Head unit, 2x bazooka tubes, and 6 disc CD changer. The car on the lot was left unlocked the entire time they had it at their dealership.
The company refused to buy a new stereo, and my insurance wouldn't pick it up because it was in the dealer's care at the time. Couldn't find a lawyer that would take up a case since lawyer fees would cost more than the stereo.
I was out $1200 and there was nothing I could do. Ray Dennison told me "we aren't responsible for vehicles left on the lot here."
I explained to them that i handed THEM the key on Friday, and their service techs left the damn thing unlocked over the weekend, but they didn't give a damn.
I'll never go to Ray Dennisson again.
