I took my vehicle to affordable transmission for transmission repair. I tolf jim what the problem consisted of that it needed a new valve body plus a rebuilt transmission needed as 2 other dealers found the same problem when they did the diagnotic test on the service engine light. Jim said sometimes they just tell you that to make the job larger and he thought it needed only the selienoids and valves replaced. I told him it needed a new torgue convertor and he said no it didn't. He removed the valve body and replaced both tcc valves and selenoids. I was charged $450.00 and paid cash. He was going to charge me sales tax but said since i was paying cash, there is no sales tax.
Very questionabale as to whether he reports to the irs
Cash money or has a license to collect sales tax. 3 days
After picking up the car, the service light engine goes
Back on. I take the car to him and he puts it on the
Diagnostic coder again and the same code comes up. Now
He tells me i probably have deeper problems and the
Transmission needs to be rebuilt. It would be $1500.00
More. He should have done this in the first place. He
Didn't fix the problem i should get my money back or he
Should take $450 from the $1500.
I am tired of being ripped off by mechanics who don't know how to fix the problem in the first place
