I puchased a used engine to be installed on 02-21-07. Right off the bat it was more money than quoted. Everything was extra. They even tried to sell plug
wires and things that are stated in the contract to be furnished.
The stated it would take 10 days to two weeks.
They had my car three months, got it back in June. The bill was going to be for $3,585.00 but ended up being $5029.00.
My cruise control was broken and left dangleing, my A/C didn't work.
The motor mounts were loose. The engine apears to be my engine with a coat of silver paint which is coming off. They did change the heater core but now the A/C goes out into the engine area as well due to their shoddy work. The hoses were loose as were all connection points. My
fans do not turn right and a fuse is missing. The engine is overheating just like it was when I took it in for repair! I have had other mechanics work on it as I do not trust American Engine. I cannot drive the car as it is and I am a single woman with a grandaughter to raise. I cannot afford to replace the engine again and have too much in the car to sell it.
