Company sold me a Jetta in early 2007 that turned out major mechanical and cosmetic defects in addition to sexual harrasment from the salesman

I purchased a 2001 VW Jetta from CFL Auto in late March. The car initially seemed to be in good working condition without any major defects and I had been very much looking forward to purchasing a Jetta. Although it was not a brand new car to me it was new and it was something of an accomplishment. Being a single Mom trying to raise 2 boys on my own and work and make a living, being able to get a "nice car" was great satisfaction to me. The experience however would turn out to not be that. When I purchased the vehicle and was in the process the salesman was extremely unprofessional in that he made a number of sexual advances towards me on numerous occasions, to which I fortunately have witnesses to as well. Although I was extremely uncomfortable, I just wanted to get the deal taken care of and be on my way so I did not have to deal with him anymore. Each occasion that I made my way to the dealership for paperwork or whatever may have been needed, he made physical and verbal advances towards me. After a close to 2 week process I was finally signing all the paperwork and leaving with my Jetta. I was relieved. At the finality of it when I was getting the paper tag from him he cornered me in his office and pressed himself up against me onto the wall and tried to kiss me. I pushed the man away and of course turned him down and told him once again I was not comfortable. He seemed to be disturbed of course but I was able to make my way out of the office and out of the dealership with my car.in the first week a NUMBER of issues came up with the car starting from the very first day. I was given a 30 day warranty on it. It started with electrical and wiring issues from my CD player to the fuse panel going to the relay. I called him immediately to tell him that day and he told me he would let me know when I could bring it in. Then I started to having major mechanical issues, I was not sure what was going on and I called him again. The salesman gave me the run around once again. I at that time decided to have a VW mechanic take a quick look and thats when I was told that there was an array of problems just from what he could see, the oil pan was bad, the water pump was bad, come to find out that the O2 sensors and a couple other sensors were going bad and pending with the check engine light which was not on the day I bought it of course. The car was not driving right as well and was hesitating and it was believed it could have been a couple different issues stemming from the clutch or the transmission.in addition to all of this in the first week to 10 days, the front bumper came down as well and you could see at that point where the major cosmetic damage was and it was not listed on any carfax reports and I was also told it had not been wrecked. Not only this cosmetic issue but the interior headliner began to fall as well. There were repeated attempts over a 2-3 week period to get my vehicle fixed or my money back and each time the salesman basically told me t=that I needed to "come have dinner or a lunch rendevous with him" in order to bring my car in to be serviced, i would basically have to give him something in return. I was highly disturbed and repeatedly asked for the owner in which I was turned down. Finally after numerous weeks I was able to catch the owner and i explained what had happened. He did not want to admit to anything and made it out as if I was lying which again made me even more angry. I tried talking to him and he also began giving me the run around. He would tell me that he would have to check into some things and get back with me and this too went on for quite some time. Finally in June almost 3 months later he contacted me by cell phone apologizing for not believing me and admitting their fault and telling me that he had a couple other situations occur regarding the same type of problem. He stated that the vehicle should never have gone off the lot without his presence because it never had the proper inspections. He promised to fix it for me and finally on the 6th of July it had to be towed to the mechanic because by then the vehicle was not even driveable. The vehicle remained in the shop for almost a week and also during this time I had a very intense issue with them paying for a rental vehicle as well. Even through what was happening. I finally got the car back with the promise that everything that was wrong would be fixed in addition to that the owner promised to have it completely cleaned and detailed for me as well. When I picked the car up I found out initially that the cosmetic issues were not repaired and the shop had not idea about that situation. They said they only fixed the mechanical issues in which i was given a receipt. They said that was all the things wrong.in addition the car was definitely not detailed. I went right from the mechanic shop to the dealership down the road because not everything had been done and the car broke down 5 minutes later at the dealership and the mechanics had to have it back to them and they said that it must have been the battery not allowing it to star. They replaced it and I was on my way, not entirely happy and very skeptical but unable to get in touch with the owner of the dealership and pushed to the side by his employees. My repeated attempts to contact him after this went unanswered. Not even 6 weeks after the initial repair the car has again started to malfunction significantly. The fuse and electrical issue came again, the check engine light and then low and behold the clutch went out completely. The car was towed to a shop i chose in Sarasota and although I consistenly tried to reach Christian Clouse the owner, I had not been able to. The repairs to the clutch cost almost $1100 which I had rto pay out of pocket, because again I am a single parent and needed my vehicle. I was not in any position to do it but I had to. Now there is still the mechanical issues with the fuses, relay, censors and of course there is still the cosmetic issues as well. I was able to get him on the line about 1 week ago and he stated that I should call him the following week and he would take care of the problems and even reimburse me. I have tried repeatedly again to reach him and I can not get anyone on the phone, not even at the dealership. I am very worried about the problems it still has and very much need it repaired. I feel that I deserve to have all these things repaired as I had been promised. The owner had repeatedly asked me in the beginning to not involve any attorney's and promised to make everything right. He even offered to reimburse me for any consultation fees that I may have had. Now I can't even get the man on the phone and my car continues to have problems. I need help!
