We recently purchased a used vehicle from Tim Dahle Nissan of Sandy and received the absolute worst customer service!
We were told that our trade would equal the value of the new car, with no additional expense to us. However, this was not the case. Several days after the original negotiations, our salesman Clayton contacted us and told us that we owed more money. He explained that he made an error and did not call the bank for a buy-off on our trade-in. We were under the impression that everything had been taken care of as discussed. We were outraged and told him that we would not pay because it was not part of our original agreement. Upon which he verbally threatened and abused me, saying that I was worthless and that I had no morals.
Before I could respond, he hung up on me. He called back about two minutes later, and I asked to speak with the sales manager. The sales manager assured me that we would not have to pay this proposed extra amount.
The salesmen also failed to inform us of several flaws with the vehicles including a broken CD player. When we informed the salesman Brian Wagstaff about this, he told us that we would be given a $200 reimbursement to replace the CD player. We immediately did so, and were told that we would shortly be receiving a check for this amount. Yesterday we received that check, totaling only $23. Needless to say were very upset when the check stated that the rest of the money was contributed to the high vehicle pay-off.
We were lied to, personally insulted, and cheated out of our money. A business needs to follow through with their promises, and treat their customers with respect. This letter has been sent to the Better Business Bureau, and several other local dealerships. We will never do business with Tim Dahle Nissan again, and will inform others of the despicable treatment we received.
