My car was shaking on my way to work and my check engine light was on. Now let me say, it was shaking but totally drivable. I drop my car off and call them later in the afternoon and they tell me my car is ready to be picked up. A friend drops me off and I pay like four hundred dollars for a tune up and new wires. Then they tell me that my car is still running bad and they want to check smething.
I wait another hour. The guy comes out and says that i have 2 bad fuel injectors and gives me an estimate for a little over a thousand dollars. I didnt have the money at the time so i said i will get the money. They pull my car out and it is shaking 100 times worse than when i brough it in. I can barely get my car home because it feels like it is gonna stall.
Next time i try to start it, it wont start. I felt like something fishy was going on so my girlfriend tells me to take it to the shop she has been going to all the way on the other side of town. So I have it towed there. (100 more bucks) The mechanic tells me that there is nothing wrong with my fuel injectors and to never take my car back there. I asked why. He said that when they put the wires on they switched them around so the car wouldn't start up again. I asked if it couldve been an accident and he said no way. He fixed my car and it cost me 40 dollars. My mistake was telling the people at tires plus that i knew nothing abut cars.
I complained about this to the district manager. He tried to put me in contact with the store manager (Matt "something" cant remember last name) and their way of fixing it was to give me 50 dollars off of my next visit. What about the 400 or so dollars they stole from me?
DO NOT GO TO TIRES PLUS! The will prey on you if they know you know nothing abut cars. Stay away!
