On Monday July 23 my son (Jeremy) and I (Wanda) went into Custom Fit to purchase rims and tires. Trae was our salesman, which is no longer a sales representive for Custom Fit. Trae guarentee that the rims and tires would be in by July 25. We didn't get any phone calls, so I (Wanda) called on July 27 to see if the rims and tires were in. Trae told me that he couldn't order the rims until he got more money down. I told him that we had a signed agreement for $100.00 down and the tires and rims would be in by July 25. Trae said that the rims and tires would be in by August 1. Jeremy took off work on August 3 to have the rims and tires placed on the truck. When we got there, Chance was the one that said that the rims and tires were there but his workers quite on him, but he would get the rims and tires ready to put on and bring them to Jeremy's Job site to put on. Chance got $1000.00 and a check for $844.00. Chance was suppose to put on the rims and tires and then page him when he was finished. After Jeremy went back to work, Chance was suppose to work on putting on the rims and tires. Chance didn't put no rims and tires and didn't page Jeremy. Chance put a note in his truck and left with the product and money. Jeremy called Chance and Chance said that he would have the rims overnight so he could put them on the truck. I (Wanda) and my husband (Robert) thought something was wrong, because Chance didn't even leave a receipt. So on August 3, we went to the place of business and spoke to Chance.
He was claiming that he had to order the rims and it would take up to 7 to 10 days. So I asked for our money back, but chance didn't want to give us a refund. Then he told us that we would loose our deposit of $100.00. Then he said that he would have to go get a check from the main office (He is the owner). So we said that we would want until he get back. I made the remark that he (Chance) knew that he was not to get the money until we got the product on the truck. Chance didn't want to comment on it. When he saw that we were not going to leave until we got some money, Chance started to get upset. He started to pound on the counter and told my husband that he was going to beat him down and drag him out. My husband ask what was all that for and it was uncalled for. Just get us our money. Chance pounded on the counter again and said that he was going to drag me (Wanda) out of the business.
Then Chance came out of around the counter and started to pounded his fist into hes other hand, all the while he was threaten to punch my husband out, which my husband is crutches and a knee brace from surgery on Monday. I (Wanda) step in between Chance and my husband and ask Chance what kind of man he was to hit a man on crutches or even a woman. This was when Chance grab my upper arms, leaving bruises, trying to push me aside.in all the while this was happening I hurt my ankle and wrist. My husband caught me from falling and Chance went back behind to counter. He purceeded to call the police and told them that we were being irate and abusive to him. After he call the police he came back around the counter and proceeded after my husband again, pushing me aside again. Then he went back behind the counter and went into his office. But not until he called me "Sue Happy B*ch". All the while I was on the phone with my attorney for the second time. I raised the phone and told Chance that he didn't even know me to make a remark like that and to continue because everything was being heard by my attorney. The first phone call I made was to a different attorney friend, but his answer machine pick up, all the while Chance was threaten us.
So, when the police came out, we went to our vehicle and the police took a statement from us. Chance first told the police that he would have the check for us at 5:00P.M. Today on 08/03/07 and then he changed it to 8:00A.M. On 08/04/07. So this man (Chance) that owns Custom Fit Wheels & Grilles got away with man handling me, verbel abusing us, got the tires and rims, and $1,944.00. Where is the justice.
