Aamco Transmission
Fraudulent business practices ripoff

Three individuals at that location are defrauding customers.

They offer you a free estimate. Once they have your car they call you and ask you for a date of birth to check your car without disclosing any fees and when you decide not to give them your business they still hit you with a $600.00 fee and they say you authorized it?

These individuals seem to have done this many times because they are so good at lying. They are arrogant they work together and they force you to use their business. If you do not they begin to threaten you by using scare tactics to get you to pay.

If you have been a victim you will not get nowhere trying to resolve it with them. Do not try and resolve it with aamco headquarters they are also not very customer friendly. When you call headquarters they ask you to put in your zip code and they will re-direct you directly back to aamco 1027 east gunhill road. Headquarters will only want to find out if you payed and they will never call you back to ask how was their services.

If you take them to small claims court go with a lawyer. If you do not have a lawyer the judge will not be interested in your case and he will not listen to your witness if you have one, due that its a fraud case.

Do not let this discourage you it is only one venue.

Retain a lawyer and sue them in a higher court with a jury than can hear the full case. Also do not forget to hit them hard for damages.

Don't be afraid of these individuals they try very hard to intimidate customers.

Also quickly contact the bronx district attorney's office also contact the department of motor vehicle.

Department of motor vehicle is the agency that issues these franchises a license. Also find out from your legislature how is it possible aamco transmissions are able to do business in new york with so many complaints in many states.

I am curently seeking legal advice and i am contemplating a major lawsuit. So if you been a victim of fraud by this franchise contact your local district attorney's office.

If you are going to use aamco transmissions

1-do leave your car unless you get a receipt
2-do not give them your date of birth over the phone or your last four digits of your social security number they use this info to say you authorize them.
3-just so you know many mechanics now work on transmissions and consumers are not aware of this.
Contact a friends who uses an honest mom and pop shop mechanic. You will be amazed at how much can save.
