I made a 2pm appointment for an oil change for my 1993 Volkswagon Fox. Since I was told it would be about an hour I dropped my car off at 130pm. My boyfriend brought my key inside along with a coupon for a free oil change, free oil filter, top off of all fluids, and free brake inspection. My boyfriend asked the manager hisself Doug (at Kennesaw, GA location) if they were going to also check my breaks and he rolled his eyes and stated yes.
Before ever seeing my car he asked my boyfriend if I wanted to get an alignment while my car was there. My boyfriend stated no I want everything that is free on the coupon. Again Doug rolled his eyes and said "It is going to take us a couple hours to get to it!". Myboyfriend said we have an appointment for 2pm and Doug replied we will get to it a soon as we can.
I recieved a phone call at my home from Doug, the manager, explaining that my air filter and my fuel filter needed to be changed. Before I could bet a word in he starts telling me prices of 36 dollars for this and 89 dollars for this. I stated I did not want those things done and I would be there to pick up my car. Doug then starts pushing me to get these services done. He stated that the car was already there and I should have the fuel filter changed every 20,000 miles. I said no again that I needed the car soon and I would be there to get it.
Upon picking my car up my boyfriend asked one of the gentleman at the front desk how my breaks looked. He stated " I dont know, we didnt take of the tires" My boyfriend asked why not since that was on the coupon and we knew the brakes were getting bad. He apologized and said oh they must not have relayed the message to the guys in the back. My boyfriend said well it was on the coupon and we even requested it to the gentleman who wrote the work order up.
The Tires Plus representative apologized again and said "my manager is anal about those free coupons". When I got home I called Tires Plus asking when they were going to check my breaks since that was on my coupon and they said oh next time you bring it in we'll take care of it. Due to all the nonsense already I decided to take a look under the hood. They didnt even top of any fluids. At this point Im not even sure they did the oil change. Now I have 4 more coupons for free oil changes that I paid for that are useless because I will never return to a Tires Plus ever again.
