I need a transmission for my ford truck so after seeing Phoenix Hard parts on Ebay and calling around I decided to give them a try, since they (salesman named Andre) promised the transmission would be ready the next day early AM. And every day my truck is down is a burden.
I drove 6 hours to pick up the transmission and it was not ready. The salesman (Andre) said it would be ready in 45 min. So I left and came back after a little more than 45 Min and the tranny was still not ready the salesman said another 15 min or so.
So I waited after over an hour I asked the owner who was in an office next to the "waiting room" to see what the problem was and he said "O the solenoid pack was a problem they had to change it" I asked why they didnt call me and tell me it wouldnt be ready and he said it could not have been done in the early AM (so right there andre is a liar) He said 5 more minutes and go back and pick up the tranny in the back.
Finally I go in the back to pick up the tranny and the guy is painting it I see the shift linkage is not the same as my tranny so another guy says "O we need to change that out" while they are clearing off a bench I notice the BELLHOUSING IS CRACKED!!! AND THIS IS AFTER AN "Experienced worker inspected every part" this is right off their web site!!! I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt but this is crazy. Then the owner (Frank) shows up in back and says he can ship one tommorrow I try to point out the fact I drove 6 hrs to pick up a tranny today and He says "I talked to andre and he never said it would be ready today" at that point I say well then I want my money back because that makes andre a liar. (if he lies about that then what else are they lying about???)
I load my core and old converter back in the truck and go to the front andre has my money and he counts it back to me (very rudely) I ask him flat out "you never told me it would be ready today?" he says "I never told you that, nobody is here that early, You should have called" I should have never belived them to begin with I caught them red handed trying to sell me junk for top dollar so they try to make it my fault. These people are total liars dont waste your time or money.
