NorthCoast Performance sold an item locally because it was less trouble than shipping it and blamed it all on me to save ebay costs.
I purchased a set of rocker arms off NorthCoast Performance on ebay using "buy it now" button. Being in Canada, the shipping cost didn't apply, so I emailed seller for the shipping cost to pay as per their instructions.
"Pay for it now" button would not work because the seller had not entered the shipping cost there.
I received no response to 5 emails in 10 days. My final email stated that if they did not respond with shipping costs within 24 hours I would buy it from another seller. They responded the next day saying, "no problem, shipping to Canada is a pain". Seems they just didn't want to ship to Canada, although it said they would in the listing and obviously they had sold the product from their retail location.
5 days later I received email from ebay saying that this seller has created a dispute that I have not paid for the item! In the end I got a strike against my account and negative feedback (of course I left negative in return). All just to save their ebay fees.
I did buy this item from another seller for the same price, so its not like I was trying to get out of buying anything.
