Used car dealer trading practice ripoff

Peter Farrell Supercars, Inc. Has awful business practices when it comes to selling a used car so buyer beware. We attempted to buy a car from this dealer, we had no credit history and had a excellent co-signer with AAA credit, but this dealer for some reason could not get a approval on the credit by trying prime and sub-prime lenders. We were very confussed by this and could not understand why.

The salesman, Billy Barnett, then offered to call another dealer that was in the next town and ask them to buy the car and from him and resale it to us because they had better power with the lenders. Don't really understand the what that meant since credit should be credit no matter who the lender is. Well anyways the other dealer agreed so we zoomed off to the next dealer to sign all the paper work, the credit was approved throught this well known dealer. After the approval the dealer called to arrange pick-up of the car and Billy Barnett at Peter Farrell Supercars, had a change in the price he wanted the other dealer to pay. So that deal fell through and we came back to Peter Farrell Supercars.

Well the next step was he decided to call the dealer right across the street and ask them to help out with buying the car and resaling it to us and they agreeed to do so. Credit was done and approval was given at a 8.9% rate
(this goes to show the credit was good) we signed the papers and drove home with the car, everything seemed to be great we got the approval and the car we wanted.

Well, now starts the nightmare. The dealer that agreed to buy the car could not get a title from Peter Farrell Supercars. We were told that Billy Barnett and Peter Farrell both came to the dealer and demanded payment for the car from the dealer that agreed to buy the car, they explained that they could not pay them without a title. Now that all makes since you aren't going to buy a car and not get a title. Well, Billy Barnett started making phone calls to us telling us that our loan had not been approved and that we needed to bring the car back. Needless to say alll the paper work was signed at the other dealers so the car and loan had nothing to do with Peter Farrell any longer due to the dealer to dealer agreement.

The dealer we bought the car from called and explained to us what was going on and ask us to return the car and they would find another car for us since they could not get a title from Peter Farrell. We agreed and they gave us a rental car to drive until they could find another replacement of the same type of car. Well, billy still called and was saying there were some problems with the car and he wanted to know if we had done anything to the car because the turbo wasn't working right and the clutch was slipping, he accused us or the other dealer of messing the car up and claimed he was going to call the police about it.

Come on it was a used car we drove it 5 days and who is going to due damage to a car they just bought. These peoblems had to have already been there, although we never noticed anything wrong. They ever tried to claim that the tires were no good anymore, get real people how do you wear out tires in 5 days they were already worn. The carfax report showed where this car was bought at a auto auction they needed to check the car better before they bought it themselves.

Also while there, a man came in checking on the cars they had for sale (he had something to do with tracking of car sales) He questioned them about 2 cars that they should have had on the lot but weren't there and Billy made the comment that they sold them and the check had already been mailed to this office that the man belonged to. Are they not paying thier bills or what is going on.

I think this is some kind of shady business going on here, they can't get credit approvals and they have people looking for money and they can't get a title from the auction. Pay your bills Peter Farrell and maybe you can do business.
