The 1997 or 1998 Cadillac catera has an engine flaw that causes the engine to cook. The warning is sent but no recall. It happened to me two weeks before I received the warning. Because I had to get rid of the Catera as they wanted $9000 for an engine, Cadillac refuses to admit that I sustained any loss.
I got $2500 for the car and it had 44,464 miles on it. Now I am told I could have had a free engine. This was not revealed to me. So I am out tons of money, had to purchase another car and yet Cadillac says I sustained no loss. Every car goes farther than 44,464 miles. I even had to replace the brakes as soon as it went out of warranty. Only a nut would put a $9000 engine in a cra that was not a success and did not retain its value.
