I purchased a 1998 Cadillac Catera in July and by September I had some overheating problems with the car. I immediately went to a cadillac dealer and was told that I was going to have a head gasket blow and would have to purchase a new engine. I only had the car 1 solid month going on a second month and would have to dish out $2,000 for a car I just got.
I was reassured by Eastern Automotive that the car had been serviced and it was a good buy. I was still covered under the 18,000 lemon law. I reported them to the Virginia Consumer affairs office and better business bureau. Eastern Automotive would never respond to their calls or inquiries through the mail. I stuck paying for a car that I did not damage and can't afford to replace the engine at this time and can't even trade it back into Eastern Automotive. No one would help me and it's not fair.
