I took my cadillac deville in to have a "check Coolant light" repaired, the next news i got, it would cost me $800.00 because they had run into another problem, stating they would have to pull the transmission to get to the leak or to check farther... Today. I called and was told, the engine will have to be replaced, and they didnt know how much it would cost to do this... Finally the assistant manager at Earl McKay got the company to agree to pay 1/2 of the charges. Which i thought was very good of him to do this. I then talked to someone in consumer affairs and i told them since the car has only 35,000 miles on it, i feel it should be fixed or replaced at no charge to me. Can you believe that a cadillac is worn out at 35,000 miles, well it came as a schock to me too. Ive been here 8 days now, without a car and i have things to do besides wait on bad news..
Ive about had it with GENERAL MOTORS, CADILLAC, why do they contine to make cars that will give the owner this kind of service. Ill be happy to do anything i can to resolve this problem, but what i want from GENERAL MOTORS is my car fixed, completely paid for and in running condition. This is not my first cadillac but it will be my last..in fact the minute i get this car back in my possessions, a FOR SALE sign will be placed on it. With a full report of what has been done to the car. ID NEVER TRY TO PUT SOMETHING OFF ON AN INDIVIDUAL LIKE CADILLAC DID TO ME.
If any of you are planning on buying a general motors product, please look for something else. I bought the top of the line and you see where i am. I just wanted everyone on this board to be aware of what is happening in the GENERAL MOTORS, line of cars. Check other makes, stay away from general motors, it will cost you in the long run. WISH I HAD STAYED AWAY...
