Worldwide RV Sales, Owners Greg & Brenda Casamento WOLF IN SHEEPS CLOTHING FLEECES ME FOR $2,500.00 DEPOSIT

Touting himself as a quote "Spirit filled, charismatic, tongue speaking believer in Jesus Christ and minister", this RV selling villain refuses to return my $2,500.00 deposit.

Re: Greg & Brenda Casamento (Worldwide RV Sales Inc.) 12/26/06
Ebay is a great place where a tremendous amount of commerce takes place. It's an economic community where for the most part everyone benefits. Occasionally there are people who take advantage of the eBay community system to defraud others.

One such case is Worldwide RV Sales owned by Greg and Brenda Casamento. Their scam is that they are specialists at deceptive advertising and are experts at making extremely appealing listings about vehicles making claims about the vehicles that are exaggerated lies and deceptions.

They list their vehicles as one owner, low mileage, extremely well maintained safety checked and mechanically sound immaculate high quality vehicles.

In all their vehicle listings Greg states that the vehicles are in such excellent shape in terms of safety wise and mechanically that he would not hesitate to drive it / them across the country.

In truth I suspect most of their vehicles have extreme safety and mechanical problems. I was suckered in by the quality and craftsmanship of his ebay listing practices. (Item # 130060983808) Currently (12/27/06) listed as item # 130062646049. Nowhere in the listing is there a mention of a non-refundable deposit policy.

Their scam revolves around using eBay to attract buyers, then pulling the item off eBay while promising the client that all the terms of sale are the same as those in their eBay vehicle listing.

This in itself doesn't constitute fraud, Mr. Casamento's written assurances that eBay rules would be followed, then his failure to abide by said rules, as well as the use of misleading descriptions of the sale item, his reluctance to allow pre-sale inspections, indeed constitute unethical, and possibly illegal behavior.

Mr. Casamento denied my request to inspect the vehicle even after I put the deposit down, saying he was out of town and the vehicle was being detailed, safety inspected, and that a final mechanical check was being completed.

He assured me that this was being done to make sure the vehicle was ready for the closing.

Here is how I feel he scams eBay itself; When buyers call to inquire about purchasing an item, Greg Casamento tells the prospective buyer that he has a current offer for a few hundred dollars less than the Buy it Now price as listed on eBay.

He then claims that this offer is from a buyer outside the United States, and that he'll sell the vehicle to the calling buyer for the same low price because it will save him the hassle of making shipping arrangements.

He is a true artist at convincing buyers that he's offering a quality vehicle at a reasonable price. It is absolutely essential that you inspect any item before placing a deposit or before bidding on anything this man or his wife offer for sale.

I strongly suggest all prospective buyers to do a search and entering worldwide rv sales inc. And / or greg and brend casamento before bidding. Please understand that once you pay in full and accept the item you are stuck with it!!!

I placed a $2,500.00 deposit and upon seeing that the vehicle was very unsafe and not in anywhere near the condition it had been described as on eBay, I walked away. Mr. Casamento, knowing I'd never owned an RV, he attempted to rush me through a very quick tour around the vehicle without demonstrating how anything worked.

It is my opinion that his unwillingness to demonstrate anything is because most of the features wouldn't have functioned properly, if at all. That opinion is based on the obvious misrepresentations I'd noticed during my tour of the vehicle. When I finally got to inspect the RV at the closing, all 4 tires were deeply cracked all the way around the mid section.

The radio face plate was detached and wouldn't reattach or work. Mr. Casamento acted surprised when I rolled out the awning and it actually worked and wasn't ripped.

One wiper blade was missing entirely. The undercarriage of the vehicle was quite rusty.in previous telephone conversations, Mr. Casamento had assured me that the vehicle was rust free. Remember, Mr. Casamento denied me a pre-closing inspection, stating that that the vehicle was undergoing a safety and mechanical check.

After I refused to complete the sale due to the condition of the vehicles tires, I emailed Mr. Casamento letting him know it made me sad that he represents himself as a Christian in his listing.

Mr. Casamento replied by stating, I am a spirit filled, charismatic, tongue speaking believer in Jesus Christ and have been a minister for 7 years.

I'm presently in the process of pursuing legal action in order to get my deposit returned, and hopefully get Worldwide RV Sales Inc. Owned by Greg and Brenda Casamento off eBay and out of business.

I fear many of his victims in the past haven't walked away from the close of the sale, and went ahead with their purchase, only afterward discovering the depth of their misfortune.

I can only imagine that humiliation keeps the majority of them from reporting these individuals to the authorities.
