On Thursday 2/14 I noticed that my car was sticking in neutral upon stopping and preceding to move forward. I figured that it must be a transmission problem.
I went to Best Auto Specialist to resolve my problem (thinking that they were capable of doing so). I was told that my car would be put on an analysis machine and to call back 2/18 by 12pm for the results of the report (since they were closed on the weekend).
I called back and was told that another report was needed, therefore to call back the following day. At this point (12/19), I let my son-in-law become involved, thinking that a man would be better at communicating with them.
He told my son-in-law that he could probably take care of the problem if I did not call every 4 hours (which was not the case). I only called when he advised me to call to check on the so-called results of the reports. No results were extablished at this point!
I rented a car for transportation on 12/19. On 12/20 I called AAA and had a tow truck at "Best Auto Specialist" by 8am to pick my car up and take it to a Honda Specialist.
I was informed by Jimmy (the manager) that I could not get my car until later that afternoon because my transmission was being rebuilt at the Nellis location.
Jimmy, had my daughter enter the garage to show her that my transmission was out of my car and could not be moved. During her conversation with the Jimmy, the mechanic stepped forward and called my daughter a bitch and told her that he would "punch her in the face".
I called the police to avoid any incident and was told by the police that as long as I paid them, I could get my car, also that my daughter should file a citizen's arrest at the local precinct.
I paid "Best Auto Specialist $813.51 to place my transmission in boxes in the back of my son-in-laws car and followed the tow truck, (which cost me another $70.00) to "Hondatronics".
Upon arriving at "Hondatronics", a quick inspection of the transmission was done and I was informed that "Best Auto Specialist" had not touched my transmission.
I have not had to deal with mechanics, but this is by far the highest degree of, dishonesty, fraudulent billing, intent of bodily harm & unprofessional conduct and consumers should not have to put up with this type of behavior.
