Vehicle was sent in for a front end alignment and check. Upon pickup the heck engine light came on and I thought it was the gas cap (typical). The next day I found the transmission was not shifting properly and stuck in L or first gear, forcing me to shift it manually, but even then it would not shift properly. Had a friend mechanic check with an EOBD-II tool and found an issue with the transmission solenoids. I sourced them locally and replaced them, along with flushing the transmission fluid, and it seemed to work, but then resurfaced a day later. Transmission issues only surfaced when the vehicle would go over 60 kms/hr, but as I was constantly stuck in traffic a lot, I was unable to travel faster for many days. Honda and a local transmission shop determined the transmission was damaged and needed to be replaced, so I sourced a used one locally and had it changed. Even after it was changed the issues did not disappear. A transmission specialist was called-in by my mechanic and they determined that the technician or someone (s) working at Advance Automotive Car Care deliberately moved-around some of the wiring for the transmission computer right at the connector under the shifter and showed me. Between new solenoids, a tranny flush, 2 solenoid flushes, a used transmission, car rental, a tranny specialist, and taxes, I finally got my car back working. I should have reported them to the police, but it was not until all this ordeal was over that I knew what these crooks had done to my wife's car. These people are truly dishonest crooks that should be in jail.
