Driversselect.com pushy, abusive, assholes who take advantage of people in a bad situation

I was a very naive car buyer and I was looking for a mazda 3. I had been talking to Jim over several days and he talked me into a mazda 6. I really wanted the car, but I had not seen it in person. Jim said the car was on another lot, but if I signed for the car he'd take me to see it. So like an idiot, I signed for the car before I ever even saw it in person. When I didn't like the car in person it was too late. They kept my trade in and I was stuck with the mazda 6. I felt like a complete moron, and they took advantage of my ignorance and my situation.

This company likes to say that their sales team are not sales men, rather "professional credit consultants", which is complete b.S. These guys are just sales men with no background in credit consulting.

Basically, they target anyone with messed up credit and they deal with lenders who make high-risk car loans at outrageous interest rates. Their salesmen pressure you into a car by telling you that no one else will make the loan happen, and anyway you're rebuilding your credit.in my case, the interest was 17.5%. The guy told me it was a 5 year note, and I come to find out it was a 6 year. I complained and they changed it to 5.5 years.

I called the lender and explained what happened. They said they would cancel the loan if that is what I wanted, but I didn't because if I did I would be without a car (they kept my trade in) and since I signed I would still owe the full amount on the car. I was trapped and I felt like an idiot.

I ended up voluntary repo-ing the car after a few months and I am currently paying off the balance to the lender.

I would never recommend this group of corrupt assholes to anyone. Stay away from Driver's Select. Don't learn the lesson the hard way. Shop around, and you'll find better interest rates with other dealerships. Grand Prairie Ford made me a much better deal and I regretted not going to them first, even with my messed up credit.
