If you are looking to buy a new car then I would not recommend Capitol Hyundai (Capitol Imports). My wife and I bought a 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe, and the car has had several malfunctions.
The electrical system and ignition switch were obviously bad and we took it up to them 4 TIMES BEFORE IT WAS FINALLY FIXED RIGHT. The first trip, they said it was done. And it was the ignition switch. 2 days later, started acting up again (Head lights would go out while driving, Radio would go out, etc.) We took it back again and they then said it had to be some kind of sensor, so we pick it up and a few days later THE SAME PROBLEMS!
Needless to say we took it back a few more times and FINALLY it seems that the car is running right. I need to keep my fingers crossed that it continues!
Here is the kicker, I had an autographed Michael Jordan card and a Kobe Bryant Rookie Car in the Cargo case which is in the trunk of the car. These are cards I was planning on selling. THEY WERE STOLEN.
I know I should have probably removed these items, but I didn't think about it at the time and now they are gone. I am so upset at capitol hyundai and I have to question whether or not they are as good of a company as they make themselves out to be. Having to take our 2006 vehicle back 4 times was enough, but to have something stolen, REALLY TAKES THE CAKE.
Before I got this Hyundai I shopped with Dick Smith Nissan and I would really recommend them! They were always really nice and personal with me.
Capitol Hyundai are crooks and are not to good at servicing vechiles they sale. I put in a call to the service manager Carl to tell him about the cards being stolen. I left this on his voicemale on November 23rd. 2006 and I have yet to get a call back. DON'T SHOP HERE.
THEY WILL BE SEEING ME SOON ENOUGH BECAUSE I WILL BE STANDING OUT IN THE GRASS IN FRONT OF THE LOT WITH A SIGN THAT SAYS CAPITOL HYUNDAI IS NO GOOD!!! Which is legal, because they don't own the grass out in front of the lot, South Carolina does and they control things there. Freedom of Speech is great! BUT REALLY PEOPLE. I AM TRYING TO HELP YOU ALL OUT!
Dont shop there, dont buy there, dont even look that way. It will cost you!
