I had a 1995 Chevy Blazer, with the following type engine: V6,4.3L; CPI, 90 deg., WRN L35 (code).
At 75,000 miles it required extensive transmission repairs. My problem was very similar to those reported here:
It began shifting hard, mainly between 1st and 2nd.By shifting hard, I mean it slammed into gear. It took approximately 45 minutes to an hour of driving before it started doing this. If I shut off the truck and let it sit for 10 seconds, then restarted it, the problem went away for another 30-45 minutes of driving. No amount of repair effort ever fixed this properly.
I was told that the problem originated because the truck was low on transmission fluid. However, they never found a leak, and once 'repaired' the problem remained. The repair was the solenoid system that governs the shifters. The solenoids allegedly became gummed from too little fluid.
