Took our 1999 s70 t5 volvo into Topping (purchased from them 3yrs ago), because it would start then die. They told us it was repaired went to pick it up still doing the same thing.
Gave them another day they said it was repaired after replacing an antenna ring. Less then 2 wks later car is having the same exact problem.
We had them tow it to their shop, they then told us that it was the imobilizer and would cost an additional 800.00 plus we would have to pay for the tow bill.
We then contacted another volvo dealership who told us that they have never heard of imobilizers going bad, but there had been a service memo put out on that part stating that the pins need to be reset.
So Topping replaced parts that did not need to be, and refused to stand by their work. They were uncompromizing and down right rude.
