If you have plans to go to Mexico city, DO NOT RENT A CAR with Thrifty Car Rental.
I went to Mexico for a week to visit family and friend. I decided to rent a car with this dishonest company. They told me first that they will charged me with 4 days and at the end they charged an extra day but this is not the real problem. I returned the car on Saturday at 4am in the morning and the person who attended me there Mr. Raul Garcia Bolan didn't want to take me to the terminal station, when this sevice is part of what I paid. He said that he has a note in my file that when I rented the car I was rude with them. I wasn't rude I was just pointed out all the scratches that the car that they provided me had and they didn't like that. Then I said that during the days that I used the car, the radio never works, he said you should report it at the time that you notice that. I said that the service of the company was really poor and that I was really unhappy with the service.
He decided to leave on the street with my wife at 4:00am in the morning without no way to arrive to the Departure terminal. This was criminal and put my wife and myself in a really dangerous situation. We didn't have a cell phone to call a cab and at that time the cabs didn't want to stop. After walking for a while I knock in Avis Rental Car at the person there gave us a ride to the Departure terminal.
I have been complaning with Thrifty Car Rental since Sept. 9th and they only told me that they will refund me for the service, something that I am still waiting to happen. The real problem is that Mr. Garcia didn't like my opinion about the service of the company he was representing and just for that reason he left us at 4:00am far far away from the Departure station, without no way to get a cab, in a very dangerous zone in a very dangerous hour of the morning, with heavy louge and my wife doesn't speak Spanish and she was very scared and crying.
I expect that this company take actions agains his employee or I will hope someone help me to sue this company for the danger that they exposed us.
DO NOT RENT CARS WITH THIS COMPANY OR YOU WILL REGREAT AS I DO
