Ripoff bad customer service no help with faulty scooter attitude bad warranty program charges shipping

I purchased a scooter in April. It came from factory faulty. Motorsports didn't return phone calls and took about 1 month to get approval to send scooter in for repairs. Upon approval to repair (brand new scooter had fuel leak, oil leak, engine hard to start and wont stay running, speedometer and odometer reads inaccurate, should go up to 65mph - only goes 48mph max, rock in carbourator), sent in to mechanic shop on June 26. It has been there ever since (Today is September 25th - and doesnt expect it out for another week or two if everything goes smoothly).

They have given my mechanic the run around. They also charge you shipping on new parts that are under warranty, and have sent the wrong parts when they DO send them. They are slow in returning phone calls, IF you can get one.

Upon notifying them of the lack of power and speed on their brand new scooter, I was told: "Well the ad says it goes UP TO 65mph... Anything from 0mph up is 'Up to', so it is working fine." So I called Verucci, who said otherwise - stated it has a mechanical problem if it doesn't go 65mph.

I was also informed that when I received the scooter, I should have taken it DIRECTLY to a professional mechanic to put it together and have him go over it. Now, it came straight from the manufacturer in a BOX - requiring ONLY the battery and mirrors to be installed (everything else was pre-assembled at the factory). Why should I have to pay a mechanic labor time to "go over" my BRAND NEW scooter and check it beside a vehicle to make sure the speedometer is reading correctly and it gets up to speed - when the thing is BRAND NEW!

Should anyone have to buy a car off the lot (BRAND NEW and in a BOX) and have to take it to a mechanic to make sure its' speedometer is working and to assemble it? This is just crazy.

Speaking of paying labor to the mechanic, be sure to note that their warranty covers ONLY parts (and only for 3 months since they have changed it from 6 month) - NOT Labor or shipping for the parts. So IF you are LUCKY you will get a perfectly fine scooter and not have any problems. If you are NOT LUCKY, like me - you either don't purchase from them, or DO and hold onto your seat for a LONG ride.

My guess is that they are trying to "bide" their time until my warranty runs out in about 3 weeks. Then I'll even have to pay for parts.
